Review of Urbini Omni Plus Travel System

Travels systems are one of the most helpful creations for parents. Finding the best travel system is so important. We know that our newborn children would almost always fall asleep on their car seats. To avoid waking them up, we would shift them from there to the stroller in an instant!

Travel systems consist of a car seat, a stroller and a base for car seat. They are installed in your car as a combo. Transfer your child from the car seat to the baby stroller with just one click. Simply click and attach it onto the stroller and you are good to go!

Urbini Omni Plus Travel System is very popular among parents. This is mainly because it is affordable. And it also offers features that are normally found in higher-end strollers.

Finding the best travel systems are very helpful. However, unfortunately, your child WILL outgrow the car seat. You will be looking for a newer car seat by the end of the first year.

Basic Features of Urbini Omni Plus Travel System

1. Weight of Car Seat of the Travel System

The rear-facing car seat is designed to carry infants from 4 until 35 pounds. It works considerably well for almost all newborns. Since the minimum is 4 pounds, it is great for preemies too!

2. Height of Car Seat

The height of the car seat is 32 inches. With the combined weight and height limit, you are good for at least one solid year. You will probably want to start looking into convertible seats after that though.

3. Maximum Child Weight

The maximum weight this travel system can bear is 50 pounds. This is pretty standard for a travel system such as this.

4. Detachable Preemie Insert

The insert gives babies a head support, so they can cradle until they are able to develop their own support!

5. Stroller Harness

The stroller comes with a 5-point harness. In our opinion, it is a must have to ensure total safety. The little one is snug and safe, and you have a little less to worry about.

Now that we are done with the basic features, let’s dive into the additional features. Now that we are done with the basic features, let’s dive into some more. These additional features makes Urbini popular among parents.

Additional Features of Urbini Stroller

Let’s have a look at some more features that would judge if a travel system is worth being called the best baby travel system.

1. Instant Bassinet

Generally, this feature is exclusive for many high price well built strollers. However, if your baby is sleeping and you don’t want to disturb them, you can lay them flat in the stroller. This is really impressive if you don’t mind changing your baby’s diapers in a stroller. We know we have done that more times than we would like to admit!

2. Changeable Stroller Seat Direction

If your child is on the car seat in the stroller, chances are they are rear facing. If they are old enough to sit on the stroller, they will be facing forward. Let us just say it: that is a problem!

We liked Urbini Omni because it gave us the option to adjust the direction to our liking. If you are using the stroller for your baby, turn it towards yourself. It will give them warmth and sense of security when they see you. When they’re older, turn it around and let them interact with the world. You can also change the direction of the stroller seat to be forward or backward. It may depend on the direction of the sun or the way you are walking, etc.

3. Adjustable Handle

This is a big one for us! Most low-priced strollers have a fixed handle. It can get really tiring pushing a stroller around that is too short. If you are as tall as some of our team members, you know that the adjustable handle is a great feature to have!

An In-Depth Analysis Of The Reported Issues - Urbini Stroller Review

Urbini may be the best baby travel system for some. However, there are a few issues with it.

1. Fabric Quality

There is no doubt that we want the best for our children. Unfortunately, the Urbini Omni Travel System doesn’t have very high-quality fabric. The car seat, therefore, feels somewhat uncomfortable and rough. This can irritate the baby’s skin, so it is a huge problem.

2. Wheels

Most people don’t realize how important wheels are. We have heard many of our friends say, “But the rest of the stroller is fine, so it is going to be okay” one too many times. Boy, were they wrong! We once thought we had the best travel stroller with amazing features, but the tires were low on air. It was really hard to push it around, but when we pumped up the air, it did wonders! Not only was it effortless to push, but the turns were so much easier to make.

We will admit: the wheels on Urbini Omni Plus Travel System aren’t that amazing. Is that a deal breaker? Probably not. The stroller is affordable with some really great features.

  • Lightweight
  • Adjustable handle
  • 5-point stroller harness
  • The Stroller can face forward and backward
  • Easy to set-up
  • Affordable
  • Roomy storage
  • Parent cup holder
  • Good canopy
  • Mediocre Fabric Quality
  • Okay-ish wheels

1. Graco Fastaction Fold Review

Graco Strollers are stunning! Why? Firstly, they are affordable and last a long time. Secondly, they have a huge variety of options to choose from! If you take your baby out and jog at the same time, then Graco has a great jogging stroller for you. Go out to pick up groceries and the can’t leave the baby home? Graco will give you more storage space.

They are pretty heavy at around 22 pounds. They are not as compact as some high-end stroller. Although these fold nicely, you would want to look at other options if your car is small. That being said, for this price range, they are one of the lightest available strollers.

  • Affordable
  • Many varieties available
  • Long lasting
  • Fairly heavy

2. Britax B-Agile B-Safe Travel System Review

Britax travel system is a foolproof travel system. The product is of high-quality: both the car seat and the stroller.

If there is one thing I hate, it has to be complicated installations. However, to my surprise, the Britax set-up is pretty easy. It is durable and very safe. Many people admitted that the headrest is superb. It doesn’t let your baby slide off or be in a neck-breaking position. It really does justice to the “B-Safe” in the name. This travel system is great, but the seat cover isn’t made of cotton. If your baby is as sweaty as mine, it might become an issue on a hot summer day.

  • High-quality product
  • Very safe
  • Easy to set up
  • Fairly heavy

3. Baby Jogger City Tour Review

Are you looking after a baby and a toddler? Is versatility one of your priorities when it comes to strollers? If yes, then Baby Jogger might prove to be the best travel stroller for you. It comes with great features like the conversion to the bassinet and 5-point harness. It is lightweight, around 19 pounds, with an integrated carry strap. Moreover, you also get a carry bag which is backpack styled.

You can use this from the baby’s birth until they are 45 pounds. If your child becomes an older sibling, just attach the glider board. Everybody will be riding along in one stroller!

  • Easy and compact
  • 5-point harness
  • UV 50+ sun canopy
  • Under seat storage
  • Great for small trips
  • Can accommodate a toddler and a baby
  • Weather shield protects against winds
  • Slightly uncomfortable seat

Final Thoughts?

So, here is our Urbini stroller review. It doesn’t matter which travel system you buy as long as your baby is safe and likes it. We highly recommend that you keep your child’s safety the top priority when getting a travel system.

Urbini Omni Plus is a good affordable option for a travel system. It has some really neat high-end features. However, the wheels and the fabric quality can be an issue for some. Do we recommend it? Maybe. With that said, there are counter options. They may not offer as many features, but are within the same price range and do not have the same issues.

At the end of the day, we wish you find the perfect solution for your little one. Hope your parenthood becomes even more enjoyable!
